The problem of self-actualizatiion of young people and its role in the development of personality are discussed. The self-actualization in the young people, men and women belonging to different ethnic groups is analyzed. The ethnopsychological peculiarities of self-perception in Komi and Russian young people are revealed. The correlation between the self-actualization and some personality traits, locus of control and the parameters of communication is discussed.
