The species of the genus Substeueroceras-S. beneckei (Steuer), S. ex gr. koeneni (Steuer), S. sarysuensis Arkadiev sp. nov. and Substeueroceras sp. are described from the lower part of the occitanica zone (berriasian) of Central Crimea. The genus Substeueroceras is mostly widespread in Upper Tithonian of South and North America, species of this genus are less common in Western Europe. The presence of Substeueroceras in the occitanica zone of Central Crimea indicates not only the traditional correlation of the Upper Tithonian koeneni zone of the South America with durangites zone, but also with part of berriasian (jacobi zone and lower part of the occitanica zone).
