N2 - Visualization of archeological monuments plays an important role in reconstruction of historic and cultural context. The fragmented nature of many artefacts and archival documents stresses the need to use specialized software to model the objects being studied. The paper describes computer algorithms of monument reconstruction that allow to generate three-dimensional models using very limited input data. We have developed a software product that generates 3D models of stones using their contours and enables a user to reconstruct a wall based on available polygonal objects. This software product has a number of distinguishing features: reliable results even with very limited input data; no need to use specialized equipment; flexibility and support of recurrent use of the reconstructed model’s components.
