The article describes principal computer uses for higher school students, peculiarities of com-puter instruction, students' attitudes to introduction of modern computer technologies to everyday life. Having analyzed the structure of computer anxiety, the authors have established factors of computer anxiety, including sex, level of computer competence, and a number of variables, such as intellectual characteristics, locus of control, dominant style of perception of information. Russian language versions of questionnaires for measurement of computer anxiety were first used in this study.
