The article presents Polish proverbs included in the Václav Flajšhans's dictionary Česká přislovi. The author notes that in addition to a significant group of lexical borrowings that permeated from the Polish language to the Czech language in the 19 ^th century, a large group is also proverbs. In the Flajshans's dictionary there are differentiating informations near those proverbs showing that author of the dictionary was aware that some of them may be common to the Eastern and Western Slavs.
