The purpose of current paper is to establish the peculiarities
inherent in art historical discourse. This research employs content analysis as its primary methodological approach. The study
was conducted by examining theoretical literature on discourse,
art historical discourse, and verbal refl ection of visual arts
in the English language. Through close investigation, we have
identifi ed several properties common to all types of art-related
texts in English-language media
