Using the radiocesium method the paper presents the results of calculating the rate of erosion processes in agricultural fields of the Orel district of the Orel region for the periods from 1963 to 1986 and from 1986 to the present. It states that soil losses from a field occupied by grain crops have decreased by 3 times after 1986, and from a field occupied by row crops have decreased by 1.5 times.
