N2 - An approach is proposed to the description of diffraction fields of acoustic waves in a vertically stratified medium covered from above by an elastic plate. There is a finite number of point of parallel linear inhomogeneities (cracks, concentrated masses and moments of inertia, etc.) on the plate. Analogous investigations were performed earlier for a homogeneous medium by using integral transformation techniques. The procedure for the numerical solution of one-dimensional differential equations should also be relied upon for the media under consideration.
