Abstract: A number of copolyamides containing main-chain phenanthroline groups and their metal-polymer complexes with iridium and europium are synthesized. All the obtained polymers possess high mechanical properties and thermal stability. The synthesized europium complexes display an intense luminescence in the range of 610–620 nm.
