This report discusses the results of experimental and theoretical studies of negative glow (NG) discharge devices with original electrode configurations. A self-sustained kinetic model of the discharges is developed. Predicted electrical and spectroscopic characteristics of the discharge plasmas are compared with experimental measurements.
