Present study focuses on morphology and chemical composition of single synthetic Ni-doped hydrosilicate nanoscroll with general chemical formula (Mg,Ni)3Si2O5(OH)4. We attempt to qualitatively explain the correlations revealed using the unstressed layer concept. The results demonstrate that the nanoscroll can regulate its own morphology and Mg/Ni molar ratio in order to minimize its excessive internal stress.
