Although the popular view of methodology of international studies presents it as a set of methods of enquiry, which provides the content of international relations as an academic discipline, this chapter approachers methodology of particular research as a wider framework that influences the research process on all its stages -- from defining the mission of particular research to selecting the form of the presentation of its findings.
