The image of the cervical spine and spinal cord on pneumoencephalograms of 50 newborn babies with a birth craniocerebral trauma is analysed. The specific features of the normal structure of the vertebrae and vertebral canal of the newborn and the relations between the spinal cord, its meninges, and the bony walls of the vertebral canal are determined.
