N2 - Abstract: The article considers the characteristics of invasiveness of the subtropical Chinese evergreen oak Q. myrsinifolia under conditions of introduction to the Black Sea coast of Abkhazia. In the last 20 years, this species has been actively generating viable young-growth stands in conditions of well-drained slopes, while forming the single-species communities, expanding beyond the boundaries of parklands. It additionally discusses the characteristics of favorable conditions for further invasion by this woody plant.
