In experiments on mice subjected to double total-body exposure to ionizing radiation with different intervals between the fractions, it was demonstrated that 8-bromocaffeine, administered to animals after the first fraction, markedly decreases their survival. It is concluded that 8-bromocaffeine suppresses sublethal radiation damage repair in mouse haemopoietic cells.
