The investigation was done on alloys 50 at. % Ti-47 Ni-3 Fe and 50 at. % Ti-47. 3 Ni-2. 7 Cu. Shape recovery can be initiated above the martensitic points by means of heat cycle treatment under stresses not exceeding the yield point. Under those conditions the magnitude of these effect depends only on the degree of prior deformation. Investigation of the heat liberation processes and X-ray crystallographic analysis show that the high-temperature shape memory effect is not associated with disordering but is due to recovery and recrystallization. Its magnitude is a result of the migration of reversible carriers of deformation (superlattice dislocations).
