The article is dedicated to the study of political and geographical aspects of international activities of St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly of the sixth convocation, which operated between 2016 and 2020. The analysis is based on the documents kept in the Department of External Relations of the St. Petersburg Parliament. For the first time the scientific community is presented with statistical information about the delegations, which visited the parliament of St. Petersburg, discussion plans of deputies with foreign visitors and many other documents of international purpose. It is noted that during the deputies’ activities of the Legislative Meetings of the sixth convocation, they had contacts with representatives of 52 countries. The article compares the priorities in international activities of modern parliamentarians with political and geographical priorities of the deputies of previous convocations. An attempt has been made to explain the reasons for the deterioration of parliamentary contacts with states in various regions of the world, including the Great Britain, Australia, Canada and Ukraine. Authors conclude that the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg follow the official state policy of Russian Federation.
