Politics in the modern world is not driven by shared values and goals. The modern “globalist” and “anti-globalist” movement is not correlated with either a special theoretical concept or a new value system. This article is devoted to the formation of new common political values for humanity, the combination of which authors call geo-eco-ideology. The authors suggest a new look at the term “ideology”. The old idea of ideological discourse was mainly based on the practical impulse of the Enlightenment. This kind of sum of ideas focused on political praxis is more appropriately called political “doctrines”. In the modern era, ideas have lost their doctrinal character, but their moral and intellectual significance has not changed. The basis of geo-eco-ideology should be founded on a system of global values. The work is directly related to Geo-ecology, which is a emerging field at the intersection of geography and ecology. The focus of Geo-ecology is on the problems of the natural environment, taking into account the natural and anthropogenic processes occurring in them. The formation of geo-eco-ideology is undergoing a new stage, associated with the understanding of the value system relevant to existing threats. The effect of environmental glocalization unites the local places of possible environmental disasters and the entire space of global consequences in a single system. The main attention is paid to the problems of human relations with the environment, and the political factors of such interaction. We are primarily interested in the history of this process, or what factors are responsible for the emergence of new universal values. Answers to the challenges of the future arise based on new methodological principles and syntheses. Geo-eco-ideology as an interdisciplinary result of modern political knowledge and public consciousness, points to such systemic values as an ecological state, ecological political sovereignty, justice, and responsibility.
