N2 - Source sizes of proton beams generated by irradiation of 55 fs, 6.6 x 1018 W/cm2 laser pulses on a 5- μ m-thick copper tape target were estimated using a Thomson mass spectrometer. Typical beam sizes were 190 μ m at E=400 keV and 100 μ m at E=1.1 MeV.
