BACKGROUND: The research is conducted in the framework of emotion development study. The primary objective of the study is to receive data about emotional states manifestation in the speech and non-verbal behavior features of 4-7 years old children, normally developing (n=130) and children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) (n=26). METHODS: Spectrographic analysis of vocalization and speech was carried out in the “Cool Edit Pro” and “Praat” sound editor. Child behavior was analyzed in the Observer program, facial expression – in FaceReader program. Children with ASD on the basis of the CARS data were divided in two groups: presence of development reversals (first) and absence (second). RESULTS: Normally developing children show a wide range of emotional manifestations in the voice, facial expressions, behavior.
