Limitation of the size of solids in one (a film), two (a fiber), or three (a cluster) of measurments leads to changes in their structure and electron and vibration spectra associated with dimensional effects (DE). In the case of the clusters the DE are normally experimentally studied by stabilizing a macroscopic ensemble of clusters in a solid matrix. This work uses a method of Raman light scattering (RLS) spectroscopy to investigate vibration spectra of isolated clusters of approximately 10 A in size of Se, Te, and As//2S//3 (crystals of A-Se, A-Te, and A-As//2S//3) and coupled clusters of Se (the X-Se crystal) in the range of both optical and acoustical modes of the corresponding masses and to detect a series of DE interpreted on the basis of known theoretical correlations.
