This paper discusses the process of organizing calculations in a digital model using a genetic algorithm for field emission UV-source development. The work consists of three key sections. The first section presents digital model to simulate corresponding field emission electron-optical system. Software implementation of computing modules was carried out in COMSOL environment. The second section reveals in detail the essence of the genetic algorithm, its fundamental principles and mechanisms of functioning with integration into a single structure of the digital model. The third section presents the results obtained using a digital model with genetic algorithm. This approach allows us to better understand the principles of the genetic algorithm and assess its potential for use in a digital model.
