A QCD picture of cumulative phenomena is presented. The difference in the slope of the x-dependence between the structure functions and particle production rate at x > 1 is explained. Reasonable agreement with the experimental data is obtained for cumulative structure functions and pion production. Production of protons proceeds via quark coalescence, which is presently under study.
