title = "Clinical and microbiological evaluation of local application efficiency of m-chip in complex treatment of periodontitis",
abstract = "The objective of the study is a clinical and microbiological evaluation of the effectiveness of topical application of M-Chip prolonged-action drug in the combination treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis. We examined 54 patients (29 women and 25 men) aged 42 to 60 years old diagnosed with moderate and severe chronic generalized periodontitis. For the treatment of patients of the main group (n = 27), we used M-Chip (repre-sentative-Double White LTD, Noex Dent, Russia), which was introduced into periodontal pockets. Control patients (n=27) were their periodontal pockets irrigated with 0.01% Miramistin solution. In the course of the work, a patient examination was carried out, including a medical history, complaints, an assessment of the dental status, an index assessment of the condition of periodontal tissues, as well as a microbiological study of biological material from the periodontal pockets of the examined patients using PCR diagnostics. The clinical and microbiological evaluation of the effectiveness of M-Chip prolonged-action drug when applied topically during combine treatment of moderate and severe chronic generalized periodontitis has proved a pronounced clinical effect consisting of stopping the inflammatory process in periodontal tissues, as well as an effective eliminating effect of the drug on periodontal pathogen microbiota of periodontal pockets.",
