N2 - Airfoils admitting abrupt changes of the lift coefficient at small variations of free-stream parameters are considered. A numerical simulation of transonic flow is based on the RANS equations using BSL Reynolds stress and k Omega SST turbulence models. The study demonstrates the existence of adverse free-stream conditions for the descending flight of Boeing 737 Outboard, J-78, and Whitcomb airfoils.
