Abstract: The article studies the adsorption of iron ions from solutions of iron(III) chloride with a concentration of 10–4–10–3 M at pH 3 on micro- and macroporous glass, as well as on microporous glass heat-treated at 750°C, obtained from two-phase sodium borosilicate glass. It is found that the adsorption values at a constant concentration of the iron chloride solution are a function of the structural parameters of the porous glass (PG). It is shown that the Freindlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherms can be used to analyze the experimental data and the constants of these isotherms are found. In the systems studied, adsorption mainly occurs via the monolayer mechanism.
