N2 - The article describes the problem of operational azimuth determination for adjustment of inertial navigation systems. The shortcomings of currently used methods are shown. Radio interferometric observations of geostationary satellites and bright natural radio sources are proposed as a solution. Estimates of the accuracy and the required composition of the equipment are made. A method for radio transmission of azimuth for inertial navigation systems based on radio beacons is proposed.
