N2 - The paper presents an approach that allows one to obtain a numerical understanding of the emotional state of a social media user based on images published by him. The proposed algorithm is to apply an adapted color selections method to images. The work can be useful for determining and refining the assessments of the security of the user of the information system against social engineering attacks and their further research.
