Behavior of mechanical systems in action of stimulating forces, being linear combinations of oscillations with time-varying frequencies, is studied. Motions of the studied systems are assumed to be described by linear nonstationary differential equations. Sufficient conditions of given systems stability are obtained using the method of Lyapunov functions. Disturbance types are determined, when asymptotically recurrent oscillations occur in the considered systems.
