A nuclear magnetic resonance experiment with magnetic field cycling is described. In this experiment, the regular cycles of field variation alternate with cycles in which the longitudinal magnetization was preliminary inverted by means of a 180° pulse. On the basis of the Bloch equations solution it is shown that in this case, the additive corrections to the measured magnetization value, caused by the finite time of field turning-on, are mutually compensated. The application of this method allows one to simplify the experimental data processing in the case where the time of the spin-lattice relaxation is comparable with the field switching time.
