N2 - At the beginning of the 8th century the lands of Greater Armenia, Iberia and Albania-Ałuank‘, conquered by the Muslims, were included into the administrative unit (vilayet) of the Arab Cali-phate named Armīniyā. The Arabs-Muslims were tolerant of another creed, but in this 8th century it is impossible to find in Armenian or Georgian sources information about construction of new churches in Armīniyā while all the previous epoch in Christian history of Armenia, Iberia and Al-bania, was marked with construction boom of building of such religious facilities. Moreover, in the very centre of the largest cities of Armīniyā, cathedral mosques began to tower. This fact was acknowledged by Arabs and Persians geographers of the 10th centuries who would visit this re-gion.
