N2 - To connect the HIPPARCOS catalogue or any other space catalogues with the ICRF by the optical observations of the radio stars is of great importance. The description of a technique, which permits to achieve the 15-20 mas accuracy in measuring the radio stars with the help of the transit circles is made. In contrast to classical routines of differential observations where the number of the target stars is much more than the number of the standard stars, the situation is quite opposite in case of the radio star observations in the system of any catalogues. This is the crucial point of our method. We present the input catalogue containing 172 bright radio stars and 193 standard stars and the algorithm of observation which confirm the ability of the 'old' ground astrometric tools to be useful for the projects of modern astrometry. The program opens a new wide field of the activity for the classical instruments to support the new space astrometric mission.
