Stratigraphic nomenclature and correlation of the Lower Paleozoic for the eastern part of Syrdaria terrane (Middle Tien-Shan, Kyrgyzstan) is revised on the base of new paleontologic data (conodonts, graptolites, radiolaria etc.) aft er fi eld reviewing or some stratotypes introducing. Th e sedimentary basins regarded to be a continental shelf fragment was separated before Paleozoic and then covered with argillites, cherts and carbonates with addition of clastics of the local origin from the end of Early Ordovician. Accretion of Syrdaria terrane to Northern Tien-Shan with emerging of Paleo-Kazakhstan in the Later Ordovician caused mass input of island arc volcanoclastic of the northern origin.
