The main focus for reducing the incidence of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) associated with atherosclerosis is early stratification of the CVD risk, timely detection of lipid metabolism disorders, and medical care for patients with a high and very high risk of developing such diseases. High-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was previously considered a risk factor for atherosclerosis; how ever, recently, high triglycerides and non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (NHDL-C) have also become important risk factors. This Resolution of the Panel of Experts reflects the roles of triglycerides and non-HDL cholesterol in cardiovascular risk assessment. © 2025, Media Sphera Publishing Group. All rights reserved.
