In the article are represented the results of geographical contrastive analysis of social and natural geosystems of municipal region of Maykop (Republic of Adygheya), which is a model like for all the mountainous region of North-Western Caucasus. Here is brought forward a pattern of research of different types of economic developing of territories in section of landscape areas, which is based on the detailed analysis of mesoand micro- geographical settings of natural and social genesis. The pattern, which is set, can become a basis for complex analysis of traditional, transformational and post-transformational types of economic developing, interethnic contact areas, and social settings of living of the ethnic groups of mountainous regions of Russia.
