A study of parents in 40 two-parent families (St.Petersburg) includes observation in both experimental and real life conditions. The findings reveal the relation of family life to professional activity, satisfaction with the way both are performed, nature of family problems and attempts to correct them, the spouses' individual characteristics and dynamics of family processes.
