Main characteristics of the St.-Petersburg model of sociological education are compared to experiences of other sociological groups of the country. The role of international cooperation in developing the St.-Petersburg model of sociologists' training is also presented. Author emphasizes that the quality of sociologist training and the future of sociology are associated with search of new forms of work. Under these circumstances the problem of the models of sociological education deserves collective discussion.",
