In the communication the preliminary results of the inventory of the flora of vascular plants in the territory of one of subjects of the Russian Federation - Yamal-Nenets autonomous districht are given. The region is in the North of Western Siberia and covers an area of 769 250 km2. The floristic list of vascular plants of the okrug includes totals 1065 species, including 874 (without hybrids) native and 190 alien. Most of native species (831) are Angiospermae (Dicotyledones class contains 585 species, class Monocotyledones - 246 species). Other orders include a few species: Polypodiophyta - 19, Lycopodiophyta 10, Equisetophyta - 8 and Gymnospermae - 7. Communication presents a preliminary picture of the spatial distribution of species in the district. A brief characteristic of an alien flora is given. The major economic important species of the regional flora are mentioned.
