N2 - Verbal constructions with the general meaning of encouragement to act (Letёshkojnёata! 'Let them go!'/'Pust oni pojdut!')make the target of the research. The constructions under consideration are formed with particle 'le' which etymologically dates back to the imperative form of the second person singular of the verb lё, i.e.'to let, permit, allow', and the conjunctive form of the notional verb.. Some researchers (e.g.W.Fiedler, W. Breu) refer the construction, like 'letёshkojnё', to an independent mood, i.e. the jussive, and mark out its general meaning of indifference (noncurative), i.e. when the speaker with his/her very utterance is trying to suggest the existence of some situation and his/her attitude to it, and in this way he relieves himself of the responsibility for the action of which he speaks. The author sees the target objective of the current research in reviewing all and any possible cases of the jussive use relying on the sample material from Albanian National Corpus (Korpusinacionaligjuhёsshqipe) (i.e. its distribution among tenses, grammatical persons and singular/plural forms; among predicative semantic groups and functional styles), also in analysing the possible meanings, marking out the core one and resolving on its status of an independent separate mood.
