The green synthesis method is a promising new approach to the synthesis of metal nanoparticles and their oxides. Green synthesis involves reducing the negative impact on the environment by using substances contained in various biological sources as reducing agents and stabilizers. This paper provides an overview of the green synthesis method to obtaining metal nanoparticles and their oxides. Due to economic efficiency, significantly reduced toxicity and negative environmental impact and environmental friendliness, numerous studies have been conducted on the production of nanoparticles using plant extracts and their promising application in numerous industries and science. The nanotechnological aspect of the green synthesis method consists in new possibilities for the formation of special nanoar-chitectonics of nanoparticles and control of their parameters, including the possibility of creating porous hierarchical nanoparticles with a complex texture.
