Инновация рассмотрена как универсальный фактор эволюции общества. Дано процессуальное определение феномена инновации. Построена модель развития инновации как нелинейного процесса, определяемого логикой самоорганизации социальной системы. Описаны возможные состояния инновации в различных фазах ее становления и развития.

Innovation is assumed to be a universal factor of social evolution. The definition of innovation as a process is given. Development of innovation is described and modeled as a non-linear process determined by the logics of the social system's self-organisation. The possible states of innovation in its formation and development phases are described.
