N2 - The paper uses some approaches to the study of geopolitical images of “Eurasia” in the main Turkish geopolitical concepts. From the whole variety of geopolitical thought of Turkey, left-democratic, pan-Turkic and neo-Ottomanist ideas were chosen, which uses and details “Eurasia” (or the space associated with continental Eurasia) and its spatial configuration. In the course of the study of geopolitical concepts, the key spatial and functional characteristics of the images of “Eurasia” were recorded and described, a list of map charts was drawn up, demonstrating the basic geopolitical ideas in Turkish geopolitical thought regarding the Eurasian geopolitical space. Based on the results of the analysis, various approaches to understanding the geopolitical “Eurasia” were revealed: political and territorial formations within the physical and geographical Eurasia; civilizational space; habitat of Turkic peoples; a Turkish-led political union space, on the basis of Marxist, ethno-cultural and other approaches. It is confirmed that the selected Turkish foreign policy ideologies minimally involve scientifically based principles of image formation, allowing to most fully consider geopolitical Eurasia as a space of all kinds of geopolitical relations between various state and non-state actors, i. e. distancing them as much as possible from the ideological “prisms” for the images.
