An algorithm is constructed for calculating the radiation fluxes and the flux divergences in the infrared spectral region for a multicomponent molecular earth atmosphere. The influence on the radiation characteristics of minor gaseous atmospheric constituents (MGC), such as CH//4, NH//3, N//2O, HNO//3, CF//2Cl//2, CFCl//3, CO, NO, CF//4, is analyzed for their present-day and predicted future concentration levels. The most important MGC, which must be taken into account in the radiation blocks of numerical atmosphere models are singled out. Using M. I. Budyko's semiempirical formula, a calculation of the values of the greenhouse effect connected with variations in atmospheric composition is performed. A simplified algorithm for calculating the radiation characteristics is described, and the data required for its utilization are presented.
