Thermodynamic equations for bivariant equilibria were derived and the relation between arbitrary isothermal-isobaric changes in the chemical potential of a component and the total vapor pressure in liquid-vapor ternary systems was established. The derived equations were used to formulate rules for qualitative thermodynamic tests and estimation of data consistency.
