N2 - Thermodynamic restrictions on the equilibrium parameters of quaternary systems, and in particular on the arrangement of projections of isothermal-isobaric surfaces onto sections of the concentration tetrahedron, have been established. The method of evaluation, described in the present paper, is based on the use of thermodynamic inequalities resulting from stability conditions that relate the parameters of a quaternary system to those of the constituent ternary and binary subsystems.
