The article is concerned with the study of American technology image transformation in the postwar period in the USSR. Since the pre-revolutionary period, the United States technological development had been considered the scenario desired for Russian and later Soviet industry growth. In the latter half of the 1940s.the state changed its settings and started the fight against “kowtowing to the West”. Thus, the Great Patriotic War was a turning point in the history of national science and technology, and changed political implications of Soviet technological projects.
