This article is about the prerequisites for the formation of scientific school in the direction «Land use planning and cadastres» at SPbSU and development of the educational process in this direction. Questions of development and introduction of educational program to the master program «Management of real estate objects and development of territories» are expounding. In this educational program the main emphasis is on studying of the earth as a territorial resource of the state and the object of management. The educational program is aimed at ensuring of integrated masters training in the line of current requirements in an extremely topical sphere of activity. The questions of scientific directions development: the state land policy in the region (on the example of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region); eff ective use of the territory (on the example of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region); large-scale (surveying) mapping as a basis of accounting and registration system of real estate.
