The Second International Conference on Physics and Control (PhysCon 2005) was held from 24-26 August 2005, at the Anichkov Palace in St. Petersberg. The conference was organized by Institute of Mechanical Engineering and St. Petersberg Science Center. It covered the problems between physics and control theory to study physical systems, discover new physical effects and laws in mechanics and thermodynamics. The conference focused on nonlinear dynamics and control, vibration and chaos control, plasma and beam control and nano- and femto-technologies. A decision to create an International Physics and Control Society (IPACS) was approved at the conference.
