This paper is dedicated to international forms of collaborationin the framework of research and education projects focusing on the study of Arctic region. The largest and most stable the Russian-German modern projects are followings: “Otto SchmidtLaboratory of polar and marine research” at Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (St.Petersburg); joint master programme “Polar and marine studies – POMOR” at Saint Petersburg State University; “Laptev Sea system” research programme; project of polar research laboratory implemented at SPbSU.
