N2 - It was recently demonstrated that G allele of the rs4986790 polymorphism (Asp299Gly) of TLR4 Gene (AG genotype) has been associated with decreased development of atherosclerosis. The aim of the study was to analyze the relationships between polymorphism of TLR4 Gene and lipid disorders in patients with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) since it is known that a part of FH patients do not manifest cardiovascular event regardless elevated low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels.
